KMCT Ayurveda Medical College in association with Department of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM), Ayurveda Medical Association of India, and Kerala Ayurvedic Cooperative Society organised a workshop- ‘Mazhakkala Charya’ (monsoon lifestyle) for public on Tuesday.
The event was organized to mark the first day of Malayalam month Karkidakam- the preeminent time for Ayurveda treatments. Several programmes were conducted related to ‘Mazhakkala Charya’. Public Awareness Classes, Quiz programme for school Children, and yoga training for kids were also conducted.
In connection with the workshop, students erected a number of edifying and creative posters giving information on foods which may pave the way for gastrointestinal problems during this season. Students made an exhibition containing numerous remedial conditions and monsoon standard of living. Therapeutic plants that were mostly used during the monsoon were also put on a display.
Dr. Finbe baby [Associate Professor-Dept. of Panchakarma, KMCT Ayurveda Medical College] and Dr. Subin [Associate Professor-Dept. of Koumarabrithya, KMCT Ayurveda Medical College] actively involved in the programme.
In the Question and Answer session, the students of KMCT College had stolen the attention of the audience with their questions. The interactive Question and Answer session was led by Bindu.K.K, Shahida.T and Liji.A.C. About 50 students of the Government College of Teacher Education, Mananchira, participated in the one day workshop.
